Typically over 99% SiO₂, very low iron content (Fe₂O₃ < 0.05%–0.1% >)

Fine to medium (commonly 0.1–0.6 mm)

White or off-white

≥ 98% SiO₂

Ultra Fine to Medium (0.106 mm – 3.36 mm)
